Hi! I’m Sarah and I use she/her pronouns. I am a therapist specializing in supporting folks seeking peace and liberation in their relationship to food, body, and movement. I particularly emphasize working with clients with lived experience of systemic oppression due to their marginalized identities such as QTBIPOC folks and people in larger bodies.

In an explicitly fat positive and destigmatizing approach, I provide a collaborative, nonjudgmental, and fiercely accepting counseling presence. It's an honor to get to witness my clients’ suffering, hear their stories, and in so doing reduce feelings of shame. Together we can explore the function of patterns of coping in an unjust world in which systems of oppression disproportionately harm folks with marginalized identities and social norms teach us it is normal to constantly be at odds with our body and mind. There are good reasons why we do the things we do, let's explore the “why” behind it.

Together we can construct ways to navigate life authentically and aligned with your values. With ample humor, I like to interweave therapy methods of both the mind and body. This way we can increase your feeling of safety inhabiting your body and grow your sense of home in yourself. I want to help you to step into your power.

Outside of the counseling room I find joy running around on trails, reading “brain vacation” books, dominating at crossword puzzles, falling asleep to comedy podcasts, and carrying my cat around like a baby because he insists on it.
