Meet Ramona.
Ramona Ramirez-Weza, LSWIC
Therapist
Hi, I’m Ramona (she/her). I’m a therapist who specializes in helping folks who are struggling with their relationship to food, their bodies, or themselves. Many of the people I work with don’t see their experiences as an eating disorder, but they do feel stuck in cycles of body shame, people-pleasing, or feeling like they have to stay in control to get through the day.
My approach to therapy is gentle, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I support you in getting to know the different ways you’ve learned to cope—without judgment or pressure to change before you’re ready. We move at a pace that feels respectful and safe, with care for both what you’re carrying and what you need in the moment.
I understand that mental health is shaped by culture, family, and lived experience within systems that are not always fair or safe. Racism, fatphobia, sexism, ableism, and generational trauma matter, and I take these realities seriously in my work. My hope is to offer a space where you don’t have to explain yourself, minimize your experiences, or carry blame that doesn’t belong to you—and where you feel genuinely seen and supported as your full self.
Clients often describe my care as warm, grounding, and validating. Many share that therapy feels like a place where they can finally slow down, feel understood, and show up without pressure to perform or have it all figured out.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on walks, and readinga good book. I value rest, humor, and connection, and I believe these are meaningful parts of healing, too.
